A famous artist was arrested today for marking a kidnapping against another famous artist.
On New Year’s Eve, he had booked an entire floor of a hotel, but was arrested an hour before noon and missed the party, according to information from Aftonbladet.
– It is a very serious crime, says the district attorney Anna Stråth.
The high-profile kidnapping took place in mid-April 2020.
A couple of weeks later, images of the event were released, where a well-known artist with many millions of concerts on Spotify was beaten and stripped of his Rolex watch.

Just before noon on New Year’s Eve, another famous artist was arrested on suspicion of ending the kidnapping. It is also very popular and has appeared on many charts throughout the year.
Since December 1, the artist has been detained in his absence, suspected of being branded a kidnapper. But the police didn’t stop him until New Year’s Eve.

“We are in the final stages of the investigation,” says prosecutor Anna Stråth.
The artist and his entourage had booked an entire floor of a hotel in central Stockholm to celebrate the New Year, according to information from Aftonbladet. But at 23 o’clock he was arrested instead, after being searched inside the city.
According to the information, he was close to the artist escaping, since the search did not attract the attention of the patrols in the city center. At the first check, he was first released, but then they could be found again and arrested.
Continued Crime Risk
On Saturday, the artist was arrested in Stockholm District Court, for probable cause on suspicion of stamping for kidnapping.
According to the court, there is a risk that he will deviate, remove evidence or otherwise complicate the investigation, and fall back on the crime.
During the hearing, the artist participated through a link, wearing a sports jacket and a green prison shirt. He denies the crime and shook his head when the news came that he was arrested.
The artist has previously been linked to one of Stockholm’s most infamous criminal gangs.

The kidnapping must have been planned, among other things, for March 30, 2020 at an address in central Stockholm, where a music studio is located. The prosecutor says it is a local.
The robbery and kidnapping took place on April 14-15 in southern Stockholm, according to previous district court documents. According to information from Expressen, the artist suspected of a crime must have tricked the other artist into entering the studio.
Important to the investigation have been the chats of the encrypted service Encrochat, which the French police were able to decipher earlier this year.
The kidnapped artist did not want to participate in the investigation.
– We have evidence of the crime from elsewhere, but of course we would like the plaintiffs to provide their information, says chamber prosecutor Anna Stråth.
Prosecution can be in March
Between 11 and 12 people are already in custody on suspicion of being involved in the kidnapping, prosecutors say. Most are connected to the Vårby network, but the Dalen network and a criminal network in Västerort also appear in the investigation.
– The evidence has given us suspicions against so many people, so we also have to act. There are many different crimes against different people, says chamber prosecutor Anna Stråth.
In addition to kidnapping, the murder stamp and an explosion are included in the investigation. However, the arrested artist is not suspected of this.
– We are now in the final stages of the investigation. Hopefully a decision will be made on the prosecution issue in March, says Anna Stråth.
