When 9-year-old Dalmatian Gazton was a puppy, he would bring cardboard cups home from walks.
– At first I thought he looked weird when he was walking around with a big McDonald’s cup in his mouth, in front of his nose and still trying to stop and smell, says Hans Salmi, Gazton teacher.
Habit became a good habit
When Gazton returned home with his cup, he broke them in the garden. And Hans rotted from having to pick up in the garden after every walk.
– I just had to teach him to spit them out. For the word “spit”, he understands, says Hans and continues:
– Then there was a time when he took a bottle or jar and then I thought it was okay for him to take a crown home. And it has continued to do so ever since.
Despite Gazton’s propensity to spot collateral and PET, Hans has never thought of using his talents on a larger scale.
– I don’t want sticky cans in my pockets. And you don’t know who had them, especially in these times of the crown, you don’t want to assimilate anything.
– Besides, there are so many poor people who need them more, says Hans.
Choose hidden jars
For the same reason, you have not chosen to make a climate reversal with your four-legged friend. But he agrees that Gazton has adopted a green habit.
– Choose a lot that is not visible. And it is good that it disappears from nature.
– When walking he feels the smell and dives into a bush and comes out with a jar or bottle. You never really know what’s going on, but you hear it pinging or rattling and then it comes out with something out of the bush, says Hans.
Hans says that Gazton gets a mortgage for around 1,000 SEK a year. For the money, it will be mostly dog treats. At the same time, he says it would be fun if Gazton could get a mortgage corresponding to its purchase value of SEK 12,000.
– Missing around 2000, but I don’t have an exact description. At first I thought it was fun to have him, but then it becomes too difficult to follow, says Hans Salmi, Gazton’s teacher.
