As a diligent letter writer, I have many times thought how fantastic it is that for a few crowns I can have my letter transported from a yellow mailbox to anyone across Sweden in just a couple of days. Now the postage for a letter is SEK 12.
What else do I get today for SEK 12? It’s hard for a 20 grade to suggest anything now.
Certainly, postage has increased more than the general price evolution in recent years, but it should not be forgotten that the maximum weight for a letter with the lowest postage a few years ago was increased from 20 to 50 grams. This meant a reduction in half of the previous postage for letters weighing between 20 and 50 grams.
So many complaints constantly featured on Posten’s handling of letters and parcels, as in the sender in DN by Henrik Scheutz (Jan 1, 2020), I understand I must have finished with some strange exception, because I have not done it in the 75 yet Years of using postal services experienced that something was lost or even noticeably delayed.
