Skiing has become a symbol of the beginning of the spread of the infection in Sweden.
At the beginning of the pandemic, there were many reports of Swedes celebrating sports holidays returning home and testing positive for corona.
In March, Expressen also recounted a big party in Åre, where people marched through the venue to the tune of The Proclaimers “I’m going to be (500 miles).”
The images showed how the après ski participants sat together at long tables.
Now it seems that some of the Swedish skiers have moved to more private rooms, abroad.
Reports of a wild Swedish-Danish event now come from the ski paradise Bad Gastein in the Austrian Alps.
“No one kept a safe distance”
It was the neighbors who alerted the police about the party at the tourist complex.
They arrived at an apartment where loud music was already playing outside the house, and where several Danes and Swedes were partying, writes the local Kronen Zeitung.
It’s unclear how many people are involved, but they had just arrived in town to work as ski instructors, according to the newspaper.
“No one wore a mouth guard or kept the recommended safety distance,” according to Austrian police.
Kronen Zeitung also reports on another event that had to stop this week. So it was a big family party with 40 people in a pizzeria in Vienna.
