A woman was hit in the face by a rocket in front of a pizzeria in the center of Öxnehaga in the Jönköping municipality. According to the police, someone or someone fired the rocket at the woman.
They took her to the hospital by ambulance, but the injury situation is unclear. The police have been on the scene to gather information from witnesses and obtain clues in the form of rocket debris and an assault report has been made.
– The rockets must be pointed upwards and not towards any other place, so it is classified as assault, says police spokesman Daniel Söderqvist.
On Wednesday night, a 16-year-old boy was also wounded by a rocket in the eye in Lidköping. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance bleeding and swollen. The incident is being investigated as causing bodily injury or danger to another person.
The police write on their website that many rockets and firecrackers have been fired in the East police region in recent days, and also in many other places in the country. It should be noted that it is prohibited for people under 18 years of age to use rockets and firecrackers.
– And what we know is a majority who have been away from home for 18 years, says Daniel Söderqvist. There is also a parental responsibility in this.
