The reason for the Christmas action in Nashville is still unknown. But there were clues.

Neighbor Rick Laude encountered the perpetrator just days before the explosion.

He said, “I’ll be so famous that the world will never forget me,” Laude tells CNN.

Almost four days after the event, it is still a mystery why 63-year-old Anthony Quinn Warner decided to blow himself and his caravan into the air.

Investigators are in full swing to question the people who knew him. The police cooperate with the perpetrator’s mother, among other things.

– We hope to get an answer. But sometimes it is impossible. The best way to find out is to talk to the person. In this case, it is not possible, Tennessee Police Chief David Rausch said at a news conference Monday.

“I didn’t see the warning flags”

Neighbors have described Anthony Warren as reclusive and low-key, but friendly.

Rick Laude, who lived near Warner for ten years, tells CNN that he chatted with him just days before Christmas. He asked if Warner would get any good from the plot this year.

– He replied “Oh yes, I will be famous. I will be so famous that Nashville and the world will never forget me.”

Laude, who knew that his neighbor worked in IT, thought that Warner could have developed an application with which he could earn money.

– I interpreted it as something positive, I did not see any warning flags. We wish each other a Merry Christmas and I drove from there.

Bought suspicious bomb ingredients

Police are investigating Warren’s computer and a portable hard drive, writes AP.

Their bank statements have also been examined before the attack. Then it turned out that Warner bought things that could be used to make a bomb.

The explosion took place in front of an office of AT&T, one of the largest mobile phone companies in the United States. Warner’s father has previously worked at the company, the investigation unit in Tennessee confirmed Monday. But it is still unknown if that information is important.

DNA found on hat and gloves

Before Warner ended his life, he gifted his car to his ex-girlfriend. And thanks to that, the police were able to name him as the perpetrator.

The car had a hat and gloves with Warner DNA on it. It was compared to DNA from human remains found at the scene of the blast, and it became a coincidence.

Find out if the dogs flew

It is also being investigated whether Warner’s dogs were in the motorhome when it blew up.

It was previously revealed that Warner loved dogs and was very attached to his pets. But it is not known if they were with him during his last trip to the city on Christmas morning.

– We do not know yet. It is information that we are trying to investigate, all those details, says David Rausch in a press conference.
