Just before three o’clock in the evening until Monday, the rescue service was alerted to a fire in Södra Biskopsgården, near Väderlekstorget.
– It had started to burn in the front of a garage, such an open garage. When we get there, about three or four cars are on fire, says Lotta Molander, an alarm and control operator at the rescue service in Greater Gothenburg.
The rescue service was able to extinguish the fire quickly and there should be no risk of it spreading.
“The work was mainly about getting the other cars to cope and we were able to go pretty quickly,” says Lotta Molander.
According to the police, a total of seven cars were damaged by fire and smoke.
– There are about seven cars in total and we have written a report of vandalism by fire, says Göran Carlbom, police officer on duty in the West region.
