During Sunday night, Björklöven chased points and a chance to eat up a portion of the distance to league leader Timrå. But it was the local Medelpad team that opened the strongest. With just 15 seconds left in the first period, Jonathan Dahlén had a great opportunity to secure Timrå’s first goal. But Kevin Poulin in goal was left by a pair of legs and the team was able to go into the break with a 0-0 position.
The second period started outnumbered for Björklöven. Alexander Wiklund came out after just 37 seconds played.
– I don’t understand any of that, not much has happened in this period that I can question the verdicts on, says C More expert Harald Lückner.
Wiklund was turned off for two minutes. The reason? Talk to the judge.
– I think it’s very ridiculous that they can stand up and shout anything in the cabin. I said it was a clear expulsion. So the judges tell our captain that “he risked me saying that the referee was a broom.” What I haven’t done, says Alexander Wiklund to C More
– The referees turn around and take a risk.
Lööke’s two-goal shooter
Later in the second period, Jens Lööke broke goal zero. When Timrå was outnumbered for the fourth time in the game, he hit with a direct shot that found the net. At the same time, Björklöven grew in the match and threatened more and more offensively. Before the second period ended, the visiting team had time to equalize in the power game. But the post saved Timrå twice.
Early in the third period, the receipt arrived. Alexander Deilert fired a shot to the wrist that gave the visiting team a ticket to the match. Timrå would reply. After a good performance from Dahlén, Jens Lööke was able to regain the leadership of the local team. Timrå then raised to 3-1 from the empty net.
Alexander Wiklund managed to score a consolation goal and the final score was 3-2.
