29 people landed on a plane from the UK to Arlanda.

Now it is up to the people themselves to ensure that they do not spread the infection further.

– People must challenge themselves and isolate themselves, says Hanna Fellenius, press secretary for the Stockholm Region.

29 people landed with a plane from Britain at Arlanda in Stockholm on Saturday. A plan that really shouldn’t have been allowed to land as there is a travel ban from the UK to Sweden.

It is also something that violates the government’s decision to suspend flights between the UK and Sweden, which will reduce the risk of spreading the new mutated corona virus.

– We don’t understand how this could have happened, said Patrik Engström, head of the Aftonbladet border police earlier that day, saying it was a misunderstanding.

All 29 people on board were able to enter Sweden, without testing or quarantine requirements.

None of the 29 passengers were quarantined when they landed in Arlanda. It is also up to each region to manage infection tracking in the future.

Traveler’s responsibility

The Stockholm Region says it does not have the authority to stop entry from a geographic area or decide on sanitary control of a certain area.

Neither the Swedish Public Health Agency nor Smittskydd Stockholm are communicating with the 29 who have landed. The responsibility lies with the travelers themselves, says Hanna Fellenius, press secretary for the Stockholm region.

– 1177.se has indicative information. They must be isolated and tested immediately and after 5 days after arriving home they must be retested, says Hanna Fellenius, press secretary for the Stockholm region. says Hanna Fellenius.

Do these people know that they will be quarantined or inform them?

– It is based on the recommendations given by the Swedish Public Health Agency, says Hanna Fellenius.

Has Stockholm Infection Control contacted these 29 travelers?

– No, Smittskydd Stockholm has not done so because it urges everyone who has been to the UK to follow the guidelines, says Hanna Fellenius.

FHM: I shouldn’t have landed

Both the Swedish Public Health Agency and the Stockholm Region infection control have been involved in the incident.

– The first mistake is that the plane landed, says Sabina Bossi, press secretary of the Public Health Agency and continues:

– They should prove themselves and should stay home and avoid close contact.

Mikael Damberg today does not want to comment on the incident, his press secretary announces that it is an official decision and that the regulations still apply.
