Hannah Ekwall was treated for breast cancer for eight months and last month it was discovered that it had spread to the liver. This during a time when they thought things were starting to get brighter.
– This is not something you want even for your worst enemies. We expect miracles. And it should work. Somehow it has to go. I don’t know how, but somehow it must work, says her husband Patrick Ekwall.

The first cancer diagnosis was made in March earlier this year and on social media they have talked openly about the fight against cancer. Two weeks ago they came out with the news that the cancer has returned and this time it is incurable.

Patrick says they want to be open and talk about the situation, the family has also started a fundraiser through the Cancer Foundation to support cancer research. At the same time, he emphasizes that only Patrick speaks in the long interview with Expressen.
– I want Hannah to rest a bit from the public, as the situation has been in recent days, she says.

The family will not give up even if the situation seems dark. The support they have felt from many in his neighborhood has been good, but he also says that there are many other people who have heard from him to show their support. Some have even offered to donate parts of their liver.
– Now it doesn’t help with a liver transplant in this case, but you feel… I regain faith in humanity. People are eager to help, says Patrick Ekwall.
