The alarm came to the police at 12:26 that a car was speeding down a slide at Klossparken in Haninge, south of Stockholm.
Both children and adults were on the hill when the car drove in, but there are no reports of injuries.
The driver must then have driven into the center of Brandbergen, where the police could seize control of the vehicle. Police arrested a man suspected of drunk driving.
– We have received several calls that a car is traveling at full speed on the toboggan run where it is full of families with children. Anyone who called us had to jump out of the car, says Carina Skagerlind of the Stockholm Police.
I had to jump away
With the fresh snow in Stockholm, many families with children took to the toboggan run. The initial assessment of the police is that it is not intentional driving towards people on the tracks.
– It’s very sloppy driving, says Carina Skagerlind and continues:
– This is a drunk person who has not been able to make correct assessments.
The police are now questioning the people who witnessed the incident.
– It may be relevant with more criminal classifications if you have been exposed to crime, says Carina Skagerlind.
