James Harden can be fined the equivalent of SEK 310,000.
The NBA barely had time to vomit for this year’s season before a game was canceled due to the corona virus.
The Houston Rockets couldn’t line up with enough players against Oklahoma, and star James Harden will be fined for violating quarantine rules.
The North American Professional Basketball League premiered for this year’s delayed season until the night of December 23, Swedish time. The night before Christmas Eve, another 13 matches were to be decided, but only twelve were destroyed.
In Houston, there was never a game between the Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The reason: Houston was unable to line up with a full squad due to the coronavirus.
Already four others in quarantine
Before the match, three players provided positive or unclear virus test results and were not allowed to play. They thus joined four other players who were already in quarantine after possibly having contact with infected people.
Also, one player is injured, so just hours before the game started, star James Harden was unable to play as he broke NBA quarantine rules earlier this week. It was revealed after being captured in photographs taken at an indoor party, where more than 15 people participated, which is the limit allowed.
Therefore, the Houston Rockets were unable to line up with the eight players a team must register for an NBA game.
The game will now be played later. According to the league’s website, Harden can be fined $ 50,000, equivalent to just over 310,000 Swedish crowns, for violating league rules.
