More than one in four health workers is afraid of dying from covid-19

More than one in four people working with medical and health care in the Skåne region fear dying from covid-19. It shows a unique study from Lund University. 7,781 people responded to the large survey.
– We really have to support these people, they are heroes, says researcher Kerstin Nilsson.

Kerstin Nilsson, a researcher at the Department of Environmental and Occupational Medicine at Lund University, took immediate action when the pandemic began in Sweden. She was completing a study on the work environment among health and healthcare employees in the Skåne region, a large survey conducted in 2017. She quickly drew up a request for follow-up and it was approved by the ethics committee.
