A man in his 20s has been taken by ambulance to hospital after being shot several times in Eskilstuna.
– A preliminary investigation is now underway under the heading of attempted murder, where we are looking for who is behind this, says Tommy Thorngren, press spokesman for the Eastern Police Region.
The gunshot alarms came from several people at 11:14 p.m. Tuesday. The police have spoken with several witnesses who may have seen or heard something, but are very interested in more testimony.

The site has been blocked and a technical investigation has been launched. The injury status of the man who shot is unclear. Shortly after one in the afternoon, no one was arrested.
