On Monday, Kristoffer Jakobsen was fastest of all in the second race at Alta Badia in the slalom premiere at the Alpine World Cup.
The giant ride led to a twelfth place and on Tuesday night it was time for Jakobsen to compete again, this time in Madonna di Campilgio. On Monday he entered as 29th after the first race and again this time he was close to Jakobsen not being allowed to run a second race because he came in 26th place.
But in the second lap it was again a much more aggressive Jakobsen who went down the hill at Madonna di Campilgio.
– Here you can see that he has decided to invest more, says SVT expert Pernilla Wiberg during Jakobsen’s second race.
Kristoffer Jakobsen, the fastest again
The 26-year-old finished in the lead and finished in 10th place, 61 hundredths behind the victorious Henrik Kristoffersen. Once again he had the best time of all in the second race.
Jakobsen was blissfully happy after the trip and erupted into a “Såååååja” when he reached the finish line.
– It is always good to be the fastest and some may not experience it in an entire race, he tells SVT.
– Being able to do it twice in a row now builds self confidence when you feel the speed is there. You just have to put it together in two runs and it will fit you very well.
Pernilla Wiberg believes that Jakobsen can go a long way by becoming smoother in his driving.
– If you get two good races in the same competition, you should go all the way to the top, says Pernilla Wiberg at SVT.
