Juventus are struggling to catch up with Milan and Inter at the top of the Serie A table and played an important home game against Fiorentina on Tuesday night.

Then the team got off to the worst possible start when Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic came free after three minutes and scored it 0-1.

At 18 minutes, the situation got even worse when Juan Cuadrado drove the ball too far. The Colombian lunged forward to save the situation but instead of the ball hit Gaetano Castrovilli with his leg extended.

Square sent off by Juventus

Cuadrado first received a yellow card, which C More’s expert Matías Concha did not like.

– It’s awful, awful. In my book, it should be red immediately, says Concha on the game’s television broadcast.

– I’ve been through that myself and that’s how I broke my leg. It’s red, nothing more.

After a VAR review, the referee changed and Juventus had to continue the match with ten players.

Juventus lost big

In the second half, Juventus called for a penalty a couple of times, but instead it was Fiorentina who decided the match. Juventus first defender Alex Sandro hit the ball into his own goal in the 76th minute and five minutes later Martín Cáceres put the nail in the coffin.

Dejan Kulusevski started the game on the Juventus bench and was substituted in the 73rd minute.
