Stefan Christensen went to Thailand during the pandemic: “Safer here than in Höganäs”
Freelance journalist Stefan Christensen in Höganäs recently fought through the eye of the needle in Thailand. The reporting trip required three negative covid tests and a 14-day quarantine, but he was then able to work in a country with a much lower spread of the infection than Sweden.
After five days in the quarantine hotel, Stefan Christensen was allowed to stay on the hotel terrace for an hour a day.
Stefan Christensen, who, among other things, runs the Destinationasien.se website and has produced travel journalism for many of Sweden’s leading newspapers, began to get impatient at his home in Höganäs. In March, when the pandemic broke out in earnest, he had returned to Sweden from Thailand, a country where he had previously lived and worked as a correspondent for, among others, Aftonbladet.
