Bad finances can prevent young people from joining sports clubs.
Lunds BK has created a fund for members who cannot pay dues.

The idea was born many years before, a few kilometers to the south. Bosse Cronqvist has a past at FC Rosengård and was already struggling with how to help young people who couldn’t afford to pay the fees.
– They already had low membership income, which made me see what more could be done and I raised it with the board at the time. To help everyone who came and trained as juniors to relate to the association, we included it with the fact that you had training equipment even if it was necessary.
“At first I thought it wasn’t necessary in Lund, but then I realized that it wasn’t always that good here either.”
Describe that it led to a completely different cohesion in the youth law.
– Families that had it a little more difficult than others did not have to feel that they could not pay, but if you wanted to join the club, you paid your membership fee and then received the equipment. It went right.
When he started working at Lunds BK, he soon realized that there was a need there too.
– At first I thought it wasn’t necessary in Lund, but then I realized that it wasn’t always that good here either. These needs are everywhere. I realized that here you also have to find some kind of support function.
For a couple of years, it has been possible to request the support of the Lunds BK social fund. Here, the P15 trains at Klostergårdens IP.
Then the idea of a fund was born.
– Through it, you have the opportunity to submit an application if you need help paying the training fee, being able to go to the camp or whatever.
For two and a half years, it has been possible to request this support from Lunds BK.
– There are those who have applied and have received support along that path. Sometimes it may be that someone needs to buy some equipment or something. The fund is up and running and working well.

The fund is financed from a small portion of the club’s sponsorship income.
– We tell our current sponsors that part of the money goes to this fund because we believe it is a very important part. For us, it is important that we give something of what we get to others who need it in our business. Some sponsors give a little extra because they think this is a good thing.
The fund is for everyone who needs help, no matter what their life situation is.
– It does not have to be that you are in a bad situation, but it can be about having a lot of active children and then it can be difficult to pay all the fees during the periods. It is not the case that you need to submit a request on multiple pages, but it is a simple question that you submit and then we look at it.
