Oskarshamn had eleven losses in a row when he hosted Luleå at home on Saturday afternoon.
And it was IKO who, despite intense pressure from Luleå, went from a 2-0 lead through Kim Strömberg early in the second period. But then it was released for the guests and Luleå represented a powerful change.
Between Chris DeSousa’s 2-1 and Jack Connolly’s 2-4, it took two minutes and 27 seconds. Up to four goals from Luleå between minutes 26.11 and 28.38.
– In the first period we have a lot of pucks but we don’t create dangerous chances, in the second we are more determined and we go straight to the goal, says the 2-2 shooter Einar Emanuelsson in C More.
“Putting each other to shit”
Real uphill for an Oskarshamn in need of a turnaround.
– We play hard and throw pucks a bit blind, we must have better values, says IKO captain Jonas Engström after the second period.
Oskarshamn manager Martin Filander was even harsher in his criticism:
– We deliver the problems. Instead of helping each other along the way, get on the glue. It is a free fall of a few minutes and it rings four times, we should be happy that it is only 4-2 after this period, it was not good, he says in C More.
In the third period, Luleå closed out Oskarshamn and also increased the lead to 2-5 through Niklas Olausson on the power play.
This means that Oskarshamn now has twelve games in a row without a win.
