Arsenal’s free fall in the Premier League table continues.

After Everton defeated London 2-1, Mikel Arteta’s team has now been seven games in a row without a league win.

– We are not lucky, says Mikel Arteta to Sky Sports according to Goal.

On November 1, Arsenal defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford.

This is the last time Arsenal have celebrated a Premier League victory. Today they were without injured striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and suspended Granit Xhaka against Everton. Rob Holding donned the captain’s armband and to emphasize Arsenal’s rise in the season, it was Holding who pushed 1-0 to his own cage in the 22nd minute.

Psychologically important goal

Arsenal leveled in the 35th minute when Pepe was safe from the penalty spot. But when Yerre Mina came to the top of a corner in the last minute of the half, you could guess where she was barking. According to the Opta statistics service, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal never, in ten attempts, turned a handicap at half-time into a victory.

This time it wasn’t even enough for a point despite a better second half in terms of play.

– Arsenal play quite well, but lack excellence and quality in the last third, says Jonas Olsson in Viasat’s broadcast.

Mikel Arteta, pressed, tried to see flashes of light.

– We reacted well (at 2-1) and dominated the game. We create enough opportunities not to lose in any case. We’re out of luck, he says and continues:

– The guys are definitely fighting, but they’re hurt right now.

“Then you have to make a change”

Everton’s victory places the team in second place in the table with 26 points, five behind local rivals Liverpool. Arsenal are 17 points behind Liverpool in their 15th place and with one game more played than all teams behind, they are only five points from the relegation line.

– If Arteta still has the wardrobe with her, you should continue if you think long term with Arteta. But if it doesn’t, you have to make a change, says Jonas Olsson on Viasat.
