The action RPG “Cyberpunk 2077” has had a shaky ride to say the least. On Friday, gaming giant Sony announced that the game will be removed entirely from the Playstation digital store for now.
Everyone who has already purchased the game through the store is also offered a refund. Competitor Microsoft does not remove the game from its store, but offers the money to anyone who bought the game and was not satisfied when they played it.
“We want all gamers to have the experience they expect when playing Xbox,” the company said in a statement.
Basically unplayable
CD Project Red, which created the game, also publishes a new announcement and says that anyone who has purchased a physical copy of the game, or a digital copy from a physical store, can go directly to the developers and get their money back. “We will do this out of our own pocket if necessary,” the company writes. Twitter.
Anyone who wants to return the game must do so before December 21, when an update (patch) is released.
The Polish action RPG CD Project Red was one of the most anticipated during the year and was delayed several times. When it was released, it received relatively good reviews, although there were a lot of bugs and glitches. However, it turned out that most of the critics played the game on PC, while Xbox One and Playstation 4 gamers have had significantly greater glitches, where problems are sometimes described as so extensive that “Cyberpunk 2077” becomes unplayable.
I have an epileptic seizure
A Gameinformer reviewer also had an epileptic seizure during the game, raising questions about whether the warnings were clear enough, forcing the developers to take action.
CD Project Red has dated one excuse and offers money back to those players who feel their experience has been ruined as a result of the issues.
The company also promises that major updates in January and February will hopefully fix the issues.
