That’s what an empty bottle of Blossa mulled wine costs

Blossa’s empty mulled wine collector’s bottles have been highly sought after by collectors. People don’t just like mulled wine, they buy the colored bottles and have them as decorations at home.

When GP noticed the trend the other day, we asked Tradera to produce a list of the ten most expensive auctions for empty Blossa bottles. It turned out that the most sought-after vintages are the first: 2003 and 2004, which today are difficult to obtain.

The most expensive 2003 cost SEK 2,001 and the most expensive 2004 cost SEK 1,500. We think. But after a GP reader drew our attention to the fact that it had sold the most expensive bottle, for SEK 2,091, we asked Tradera to verify the figures.

It turned out that the reader was right and wrong. As you can see from the top list here in the article, his bottle finishes in fourth place. At the top are two auctions with multi-bottle packs. The most expensive single bottle was sold on March 1 of this year, for up to 2,500 SEK.

So it went wrong on the top list.

How could I be wrong on the top first list? Sofia Hagelin at Tradera explains:

– The first top list was based on our Breweriana sales category. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that some had sold their Blossa bottles in other categories, such as Christmas items, other collectors’ items and product packaging, he says.

The new list shows even more clearly that interest in Blossa bottles has exploded this year. Eight of the ten most expensive auctions took place in 2020, according to Sofia Hagelin.
