By mid-January, nearly 30,000 doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Skåne, the Skåne Region previously announced.

But already from Monday to Friday, the first round comes with 425 doses, reports SVT Nyheter Skåne. It was clear on Thursday after that vaccination in all EU countries may start from December 27.

According to Maria Landgren, Vaccine Coordinator for the Skåne Region, the first selected will be residents and staff of nursing homes in the region. It has not yet been decided what accommodation or places it will be.

– When we choose it, we will choose where it will logistically work with a safe and effective vaccination, says Maria Landgren to SVT.

Those who are vaccinated will need to get vaccinated again a few months later for full protection.
