At Manchester United, second goalkeeper Dean Henderson unexpectedly gained the confidence to score the goal. But there was an idea: the deflected ball became a center towards who was waiting for it in the area. Instead, Oliver Burke took the ball and passed it to David McGoldrick, who was able to make it 1-0 for Sheffield.

Fortunately for Henderson, his teammates cleared up the situation a bit later. First, Marcus Rashford made it 1-1 when he landed a perfect shot on a ball from Victor Lindelöf and was able to push the tie in the 26th minute.

Seven minutes later, Anthony Martial gave Manchester United the lead by making it 2-1. And the Manchester guests had to go to the break in the lead.

At the start of the second half, both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial met again. Martial passed a perfect ball to Rashford, who was able to send 3-1 with a little help from Sheffield goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

With just over three minutes to go, Sheffield cut back and it was again David McGoldrick who signed the record for goals. But the guests kept the lead and Sheffield can continue to pursue the first win of the season.

Earlier Thursday night, Aston Villa and Burnley met and played 0-0.
