Dag Gustafsson is the father of Ola Bini.
The protracted lawsuit against Swedish programmer Ola Bini continues in Ecuador. After nearly twelve hours of hearings on Wednesday, the preparatory court hearings were postponed again, Bini’s father Dag Gustafsson writes in an email to TT.
Ola Bini was arrested in the capital Quito in April last year, suspected of having gained access to computer and telecommunications systems without a permit. He was detained until the end of June of that year and since then he has not been allowed to leave the country.
Preliminary negotiations can lead to the initiation of a trial.
According to Dag Gustafsson – who emphasizes that his son has not done anything criminal – a person from the Swedish embassy in Colombia was allowed to attend Wednesday’s hearing as an audience.
A new date for future negotiations will be announced later, Gustafsson says.
