Denmark introduces new restrictions: stores must close

Already at the beginning of last week, Mette Frederiksen came out with a series of new sharp crown restrictions in Denmark. These included bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, cinemas and swimming pools, which were closed in 69 municipalities. Including the capital Copenhagen.

During the week, the closures continued. Since Wednesday, the same severe restrictions have prevailed across the country, with more to come.

Ekstrabladet and Danish TV2 write that Mette Frederiksen, in connection with a press conference at 18:00, is expected to present further measures to stop the spread of covid-19. Now it is about the mall, which will be closed from Thursday.

But it doesn’t stop there.

As of December 25, almost all Danish trade will stop, write several Danish media. The only exceptions are grocery stores and pharmacies, which can remain open as usual.

The new austerity measures are initially applied until January 3. But Ekstrabladet writes that they can also be extended.
