Fourth consecutive loss: “He took his foot off the gas”

Oskarshamn has lost momentum after a good start to the season. Away against Frölunda came the fourth consecutive defeat, 1-4. – We may have taken our foot off the gas a bit, says consolation scorer Fredrik Olofsson.

Finally the dividend arrived. But then there were only 15 seconds left.

Fredrik Olofsson struggles to find greater joy in his goal after Oskarshamn’s fourth straight loss.

– It is clear that it is always good to score goals and break the deadlock for them. But the game was closed, he says.

When the team met in Oskarshamn a few weeks ago, it was Frölunda who had to return home with a lost luggage.

But at home, league-leading Frölunda have been an extremely difficult team to beat this season, with only one point lost so far.

– We should create a bit more considering possession of the record. But overall, I am absolutely satisfied with today’s game, says Frölunda manager Roger Rönnberg.

For Oskarshamn, it seems even heavier.

The season opener has exceeded expectations after finishing last in the core series last year. Maybe it even went too well?

– We have probably gone from being favorites for a long time to suddenly starting to get a lot of praise, forward Johannes Salmonsson told C More before the game.

– I think it is important that many take those compliments in the right way. I think we fit in to be a little more disadvantaged.

After the game, Fredrik Olofsson supports him.

– Yes, we have noticed a little, that perhaps we have become if not comfortable so at least we take our foot off the gas a little, he says.

– But it’s just rubbing off, it’s a long season. Just get the best rest we can and come to work tomorrow and be happy and grateful that you can do this.

It was two numerical handicaps that proved fatal against Frölunda.

After the first, an unnecessary sending-off for a wrong substitution, it was only seven seconds before Simon Hjalmarsson had an open goal and made it 1-0.

At a later handicap, 43 seconds passed before Stefan Elliott made it 2-0.

It stayed that way until Max Friberg scored with an empty net in the final minutes, and Nicklas Lasu simply increased the speed to 4-0 in the next attack.

In the end, a goal from Oskarshamn also came. But then, like I said, there were only 15 seconds left.
