57 attempts to change the outcome of the elections have been thwarted by the courts

It is Democratic attorney and election expert Marc E Elias who has followed the steady stream of lawsuits from Trump and other Republicans that followed the November 3 presidential election.

With Texas’ failed attempt on Friday to have the Supreme Court overturn the votes of four other states, the overall rating is 57 losses and one victory. The latest defeat was for the trio of state attorney general Ken Paxton to disqualify the ballot in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin: “the complaint is rejected due to lack of legal capacity,” HD wrote in its decision.

The only success refers to a lawsuit in Pennsylvania a month ago when Trump’s attorneys managed to overturn unidentifiable ballots received during an extended last-minute period. It’s unclear exactly how many votes were involved, but far from Biden’s lead of just over 80,000 and the state cap for when it will be recalculated.

Another lawsuit in Pennsylvania was rejected by a Trump-appointed judge because it was “factual” and “unfounded.” Similar news came in Nevada, where one case was dismissed because it was “waiving credible and credible evidence.”

Parallel to this legal campaign, the Trump camp has tried other ways to change the election results to secure him a second term. Most notable have been persistent attempts to persuade Republican-led states to nominate their own constituents in violation of the practice before Monday, when the College of Electors will achieve the end result, also a strategy that has not been profitable.
