Donald Trump has suffered one setback after another after election night. The outgoing president’s legal stunts have been rejected by the Pennsylvania and Michigan state courts, among others.
Now comes the next step for Texas, the state where “everything is a little bit bigger.” Texas and Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton sued Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin over the annulment of the loss of Donald Trump.
The only thing in this context is that the lawsuit was sent directly to the Supreme Court of the United States because it is a dispute between states. Otherwise, in principle, only disputes over demarcations and water rights are resolved at the federal level.

Jan Hallenberg, a US expert at the Foreign Policy Institute, says this is Donald Trump’s last legal chance to remain president. And he doesn’t think it works.

Republicans are traditionally in favor of states becoming independent.
But when it comes to Trump, they seem to have no principles left.

On the outgoing president’s Twitter account, the mood is lyrical. One supporter writes that the tectonic plates have now started to move, which likely means that the demand will result in an “earthquake.”
Donald Trump himself has commented on the mood, describing it as “extraordinary.”

According to Jan Hallenberg, the latest legal threat is the most empty word, even though the Supreme Court, thanks to Donald Trump’s nominations, now has a bias in the conservative direction.
