The number of monoliths continues to grow and on Wednesday Sweden got the first. At least the first one discovered.
Pontus Sahlin says he and a friend went out to rest their dogs after work Wednesday. It had started to get dark when they hit the road over a barbecue and rest area to scout for a future barbecue.
– We usually grill there at Christmas and now I wanted to see what the place looked like, he tells DN.
But when Pontus Sahlin looked looking towards the lake there is something that should not be there:
– It was a metal pillar that I didn’t see when we were there a week or so ago. It may have been there for several days or an hour. When I felt it, it was heavy and seemed to be filled with something deep down. It was a bit buried but it was possible to move it. There is a muddy and watery road and I do not understand how the artist managed to get it out.
Do you think he is an artist?
– It looks like a work of art but you don’t understand why you put it there, not many people move here. It was a kind of pattern that looked like a three-year-old had done it. Like someone who shoots with their hands with open fingers.
Right now the list is over the monoliths, with the date of probable discovery as follows – right now 31:
