The police received the alarm at 6.30 in the afternoon. The incident took place in the center of Stenungsund in connection with a pedestrian tunnel.

– One perpetrator claims that he went out with his dogs and that someone climbed him up, says Fredrik Svedemyr, police spokesman in the western region.

According to the plaintiffs, the perpetrator lightly kicked him in the back. After he turned around and swept the perpetrator’s legs, the man disappeared from the scene.

There is no information that anyone was injured. Nor that the owner of the male dog had anything stolen.

Nor have any alleged perpetrators been arrested before 8 pm.

– There have been riots in connection with this, says Fredrik Svedemyr.

Similar cases have occurred in the near future

GT has recently reported on other dog owners who have been attacked in Stenungsund.

Since October alone, there have been three similar cases.

The last one on November 27.

Unlike the incident on Thursday, the victim in the three previous cases was a woman and the perpetrators were more than one, but police are still investigating possible connections.

– Previously we have had cases with similar modes. We do not rule out anything and we investigate crimes. At present, there is nothing to confirm the connections between the cases, but the next investigation will prove it, says Fredrik Svedemyr.
