LISTENS: Executive Committee, Section 38: The Social Democratic Vaccine

Lena Hallengren and Amanda Lind presented “a draft” of a new pandemic team, which will now go out for consultation to a hundred consultation bodies. Among other things, it will allow the government to decide how many people can stay in shopping malls across the country at the same time.

Viktor Barth-Kron asks on the podcast:

– It is still a one-year pandemic when the law comes into force. And then the worst will be over. If it is now a temporary law, why has it not been introduced before?

Torbjörn Nilsson talks about “the hole in the history of the Social Democrats”:

– When the temporary temporary law expired, they had every opportunity to begin work on this pandemic law immediately. They didn’t do it until after the summer. It is a time interval of three months. At first, the Social Democrats have said they want more power, but then they do nothing when the temporary law expires.

Maggie Strömberg goes back a few weeks in time, when there was a lot of discussion about why the government didn’t extend the temporary power law that was introduced this spring.

– This dispute started when Lena Hallengren was asked why they did not spread. Hallengren responded that it was “completely useless” and blamed the moderates. Whereupon Tobias Billström went completely insane and called it “an escape”.

– When we spoke to non-political lawyers in government offices a few weeks ago, it emerged that Lena Hallengren still hadn’t come up with an afterthought.

Maggie Strömberg continues:

– The interesting thing about Lena Hallengren coming out and blaming M is that it raises the level of conflict, and the government is very upset that there was so much conflict from the beginning with this law. They were stressed by the increased level of conflict this spring and they didn’t want it again. And that’s why they didn’t extend the temporary law.

Viktor Barth-Kron:

– It can still be said that there is a contradiction in the sense that it considers that it needs a type of authority that it did not consider necessary to have during important parts of the pandemic. If you think these measures would have been good, they could have done it sooner.

Section 38 of the Executive Committee also includes who are the new statistics from Statistics Sweden, the Hanif Bali collection and whose covid vaccine is.
