Last year, three lawyers blew the $ 10 million barrier in compensation from the Swedish National Courts Administration for public defender assignments.

Recently, several attorneys have been accused of violating good legal practices regarding public defender assignments. One of the lawyers on the top 10 list, Edip Samuelsson, was recently warned by the Swedish Bar Association after several prosecutors accused him of rounding restrictions and issuing information on behalf of detained clients.
