Region Halland has previously presented a crown bonus to all employees.
That means an extra SEK 5,000 in your pocket for all the hard work during the pandemic.
But the bonus is only given to employees in the region, not to private care.
Private healthcare employees have now reacted vigorously to this and are demanding that the crown bonus be applied to them as well.
“Misunderstood”
The operations managers of the five Capio health centers in Halland write in a letter to regional politicians:
“We hope you can reply by email that it is a misunderstanding. If it’s not a misunderstanding, we hope you will raise the issue again and consider whether you think it really feels right. they write in the letter that Hallandsposten has read.
They explain that the private health sector faces the same challenges as the public sector.
“Strange discussion”
“It is important to have a level playing field if we want to continue working side by side. The opposite creates the risk of an unnecessarily negative atmosphere between public and private units.“They write in the letter that Hallandsposten has read.
Mikaela Waltersson (M) is the chair of the regional board in Halland. It is not difficult for you to explain why the bonus goes where it goes.
– This is purely an employer issue and something we have decided to do to show appreciation to our employees. I think it will be a strange discussion. We generally don’t have opinions on potential private caregiver benefits or employee benefits, he tells Hallandsposten.
