A man in his 35s has been shot and killed in Sundsvall.

A man in his 35s died after an alleged shooting on the outskirts of Sundsvall.

According to the police, the incident is linked to a “criminal environment”.

– If you have seen or heard anything, we want you to contact the police, says Maria Linné, RLC communicator.

Police were alerted around 8pm to Skönsberg, outside the center of Sundsvall, where an injured person was found. They later claimed that it was an alleged serious violent crime.

– The person is injured and taken by ambulance to the hospital, informed Maria Linné, RLC communicator, at 8.30 pm.

Later in the evening, the police announced that the person, a man in his 35s, had died. The man’s relatives have been notified.

“Isolated event”

Police are investigating the incident as murder. They assume the man was shot outdoors.

“The police opinion of the case at this time is that it is an isolated incident linked to the criminal environment. The assessment is that there is no danger to the public, ”the police write on their website.

A great effort is going on at the site, with various patrols, dogs and forensic technicians. Police are knocking on doors in the area and questioning witnesses.
