Almost three days later, it still has not been found.

The sun has set for a few hours. But when Aftonbladet reaches 50-year-old Erika Borg, she has just set out to find her son Mattias, who has been missing since Saturday night.
– I couldn’t sit at home and wait. So when a group of sniffer dogs found out about me, I followed them, says Erika Borg.
The shoes were
On Friday night, Mattias and his twin brother were at the same party in Ljungby, where the family lives. 17-year-old Mattias is said to have disappeared from the party at 12:30.
– My second son thought that Mattias had gone home. But then she saw that they had left her shoes, coat, and keys. So she ran home, but Mattias wasn’t there, says Erica Borg.
They went out together and searched overnight, but to no avail. So Erica called the police.
Hundreds of volunteers in search efforts
Over the weekend, a large search operation was carried out where the Police, the Armed Forces and hundreds of volunteers searched for Mattias.
Early Monday morning, the police announced that the special rescue operation had been completed and that the disappearance had been turned over to the local police.
The Missing People organization has also searched for Mattias. But no direct finds or traces have been found, says operations manager Hans Nilsson.
– Today, there are just over 80 people who have been online and applied almost all day. We are done with the infantry now but we will have several hours with search dogs tonight and early tonight. Then we continue tomorrow. We are not giving up, he says.
“Give strength and power”
On Monday, Erika Borg wrote an attention-grabbing post on Facebook thanking everyone who stood up and searched for her son.
There are no words to express my immense gratitude for what you have done! You are heroes, you are angels “, writes in the publication.
She tells Aftonbladet that public support has helped her keep her hopes up during the last chaotic days.
– Everyone is fantastic and shows a lot of warmth. The fact that there are so many gives strength and power. I am very grateful, she says.
“I have thought of everything possible”
The search takes place both within Ljungby and in the surrounding terrain. On Monday night, the police searched with underwater drones, according to SVT Småland.
Can you describe how these days have been for you?
– I’ve thought of everything possible. When you sit at home, all kinds of nightmare scenarios pop up. That’s why I wanted to come out of the closet, says Erica.
– My great hope is that he found a hut or a house, which ended up under a roof, he continues.
