Today, the Danes are informed about what life will be like until Christmas. On Sunday evening, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) announced that parts of the partnership will be closed to curb the spread of covid-19.

The new restrictions will apply in areas with a high spread of the infection: Copenhagen, Odense and Århus, as well as in several municipalities in the area of ​​the capital and Zeeland.

– In light of the information we receive from the authorities, over the weekend we have prepared a geographic, objective-oriented and partial closure. Unfortunately, Frederiksen said in a video on Facebook Sunday.

More details are expected on what the shutdown will look like on Monday morning.

“We will have better control over the infection before Christmas Eve,” Frederiksen said.

The Prime Minister is also expected to report on restrictions that apply around Christmas and New Years.
