Before the final round, Hammarby was in seventh place, ÖSK eight, two points behind “Bajen”. But after the Norwegians’ three points, the teams swapped places at the Allsvenskan final table.
Seventh place is Örebro’s best since 2014 when the team finished sixth.
Oscar Jansson was proud and excited afterward.
– It’s hard to say how grateful I am to ÖSK, whom I have represented for eight years. I left my soul and all my energy on this plane. So I hope it has been seen, and that I can go with my head held high now, he said and continued:
– Very nice to finish with a victory, I think we deserve it.
Want abroad
Since Oscar Jansson revealed last fall that he will be leaving his hometown, various Allsvenskan clubs and Danish Bröndby have shown interest in the ÖSK goalkeeper who hasn’t missed an Allsvenskan minute since 2016.
– Things are happening and I hope it won’t be long before I am ready with a new club. My absolute goal is to travel abroad.
TT: Can you put into words what ÖSK means to you?
– As I told my partner last night, there is an Oscar before ÖSK and there is an Oscar after ÖSK. Everything I have in life now is part of ÖSK. I met my partner when I came back from England, we have had two children and bought a house. In some way they have helped me become who I am today.
Unhappy debutante
On Hammarby’s goal, however, Oliver Dovin made his Allsvenskan debut. After just over a quarter of an hour, the 18-year-old was mocked when Örebro’s Heerenveen loan officer Andreas Skovgaard nodded in the excellent position of former Hammarby resident Nahir Besara.
And after half an hour, a few minutes of true nightmare awaited Hammarby and Rickard Magyar. He was very small at first when Magyar collided with Hussein Ali, and Rickard Magyar was lying in pain in his ribs. A minute later, Magyar kidnapped Örebro Ali’s defender, gave his second warning and was sent off.
But in the 68th minute, forward Gustav Ludwigson put a hole in Oscar Jansson when he cut to the straight and put the tie next to the post.
In injury time, substitute Erik Björndahl decided when he rose to the top in an aerial duel against Oliver Dovin.
For Hammarby, who was a candidate for gold, the season is a major disappointment and the team finished the Allsvenskan with five straight games without a win.
