During Saturday, Postnord had significant problems with the delivery and shipment of packages due to errors in the IT systems. It was not until seven in the afternoon that the problems could be solved.

The problems at Postnord started on Saturday morning. Sometimes it was impossible to identify with a bank ID, systems were completely down with some agents, and there were problems with shipping packages.

It wasn’t until 7 p.m. that the last problems were resolved.

– At this time, all systems are operational. I just had a meeting with our IT experts and now it looks good, says Peter Hesslin, Postnord’s head of e-commerce and logistics, to TT shortly after 7pm.

According to Hesslin, the likely cause of the problems is the extremely high load on the systems when Postnord has had to handle packages from both the Black Friday sale and the first Christmas purchases.

Overnight, the load on the systems was reduced and Postnord does not expect new problems to arise.

– We are still doing analysis overnight and experts are working on it, so right now it feels good. But it has been a difficult day that has been difficult for many, says Peter Hesslin.
