At first he was not allowed to go to the slalom premiere.

Now slalom star Anna Swenn Larsson has tested positive for COVID-19.

– It’s a bit difficult to assimilate, I can’t really see when I got infected, says in a press release

It was before the slalom premiere at Levi almost two weeks ago that the entire Swedish women’s team was quarantined since coach Christian Thoma tested positive for covid-19.

No Swedish skier tested positive for that, but the team was sent home.

Now Anna Swenn Larsson was about to leave for a training camp in Central Europe to improve her form for the rest of the season. Then came the next fatal blow: a positive test.

– It’s a bit difficult to assimilate, I can’t really see when I got infected. “I have been more or less isolated or have been at a suitable distance from people I have met,” says Anna, who is sad and sad at the same time, according to a press release.

According to the ski association, Anna Swenn Larsson tested negative for PCR after returning from Levi.

“Happy and grateful”

Hopefully she’s still ready to start the competition in Semmering on December 28-29. But now he has to give up all training even though he has no symptoms.

– But I’m happy and grateful for that and I hope I can continue like this. It’s clearly worse for everyone who gets seriously ill in this pandemic, hopefully something that can happen fairly quickly, he says.

The plan for December is thrown away.

– In this situation, it is difficult to look to the future, first of all I must improve and test negative before I can do something. When that day comes, we will see where we are in time and then we will continue working from there.
