On Tuesday, the trial continued against the 21-year-old and the 18-year-old who were charged with merciless assault and, according to the prosecutor, extremely serious, as two teenagers were subjected to the night of August 22-23 in Norra kyrkogården in Solna.
As DN was able to reveal on Monday, the 21-year-old admitted to a prison guard at the prison that he had been involved and that he abused and raped the young victims. In that conversation, the 21-year-old expressed concern about being forced to sit with convicted rapists in the event of a conviction.
On Tuesday however, he denied the crime completely.
– My client denies that he was there and denies the act in its entirety, said his lawyer Ersin Aziman before the court on duty.
In the conversation his client had with the prison staff, he said that it was his accomplice who was the instigator, not him. The previously 18-year-old accomplice has declined to feel anything about the allegations and has not left his own story during the preliminary investigation. On Tuesday, however, he admitted that he had been at the scene, that he had robbed and abused the two victims.
He denied, however through the kidnapping of his lawyer and the aggravated rape part of the accusation.
– As for the abuse in court, my client can neither admit nor deny, he is not sure what was said, said Torben Setterlund while his client drank a small tetra with jos.
According to the lawyer, his client was not present the entire time during the eight hours that the torture-like assault lasted. It is said that he “came and went,” a statement that the prosecutor now has to refute.
After the prosecutor Anders Tordai presented his case and the lawyers explained the attitude of their clients, Executive Director Lena Hjelmtorp decided that the hearing should now be held behind closed doors, partly due to the young age of the victims and partly due to the nature of the victims. crimes.
The plaintiffs were not in Room 4 of the District Court, but they follow the trial through a link.
The two plaintiffs are claiming around SEK 400,000 in damages for, among other things, vomiting, burns and pain, physical and mental suffering, and property damage.
The 18-year-old admits some liability for damages, while the 21-year-old disputes claims for damages.
As previously stated by the Chamber Prosecutor Anders Tordai, the age of the accused can affect the possible sentences that are imposed. It will require many years of punishment.
– Considering the different ages of the accused, one of them will only receive half the sentence than the other if he is convicted. In this case, it feels unreasonable, Anders Tordai previously told DN.
