Scott Atlas, crown adviser to US President Donald Trump, has resigned, confirms the White House. Atlas left his message in a letter to the president.
Atlas was forced to apologize in November after conducting an interview with Russian RT.
RT, formerly known as Russia Today, was founded by the Kremlin and for three years has been listed as a foreign agent, that is, an organization controlled by a foreign power. Something that Scott Atlas, according to his own statement, did not know at the time of the interview.
Atlas, who is an X-ray physician and not an infection control physician, has previously been questioned by several prominent public health experts. America’s best-known infection control physician, Anthony Fauci, has raised concerns about his colleague’s competence on matters related to infection control.
Among other things, Atlas has downplayed the importance of mouth guards and described the closures as an epic failure to stop the spread of the virus.
