Earlier on Wednesday, Expressen stated that Henrik Rydström, 44, will be leaving Sirius after the season. Shortly after, the 44-year-old confirmed it himself for Fotboll Direkt. The reason the former midfielder chooses to leave Uppsala is explained by family reasons.
– I have enjoyed IK Sirius very well and am proud of the work we have done, especially in 2020. Ola Andersson (Sporting Director, Sirius) has created a superior environment for performance at Uppsala. I am not leaving because I have other options, I am leaving because I do not see how it is possible to move as I did a third year. If he had hair, it would have been gray from the tension.
