The two teenagers had their clothes ripped and stuffed in their mouths. Under death threats, they were subjected to a severe beating that lasted for about nine hours. – We just wanted to survive, says one of the boys in interrogation.
The two boys fled the cemetery naked on the morning of August 23.
The two boys had been in town with friends and were on their way home when they met two unknown men on a street in Solna one afternoon in August.
The men wondered if the boys wanted to buy drugs, according to interrogations. When they said no, the men became aggressive and dragged the children into a bush, where the abuse began.
– Then they say, we should have money, we should have a lot of money, says a child in interrogation, according to the preliminary police investigation.
The boys were forced to the north cemetery. There they were threatened, kicked in the head and beaten with a shovel.
– They threatened to kill us. They were going to kill someone we liked, and then he kept repeating that if we told this to the police, it would be over for us, says the boy.
Two young men, aged 18 and 21, were charged in early November with kidnapping, raping and abusing children overnight in the cemetery. Today begins the trial against them in the Solna District Court.
On the way to the cemetery, the men told the children to hold their hands.
– Then they did not take us by the neck, but then they took us by the hand so that it did not seem that they were taking us, but as if we were friends, says the other boy in questioning.
Inside the cemetery, the children were forced to lie on the ground. Under threat, they were stripped naked.
– They take their knife and begin to cut the clothes to tie us. Then they tie us hands and feet and we each put a sock in our mouths so that we cannot speak, says one of them in questioning.
The men tied the boys’ legs so they couldn’t escape and used their own belts as handcuffs, according to the preliminary investigation.
The boys were forced to hand over their mobile phones and wallets with, among other things, bank cards.
– If we move a little, it is a blow or a kick to the head directly, says one of the boys in interrogation.
– I don’t have clothes, but I felt that everything flows. As if I bathed in blood then, says the other boy.
During the night, the children were also stabbed and forced into graves. A child was also raped, according to the indictment.
At eight thirty in the morning, the boys managed to escape, when the men left the place for a while.
– At random, they leave. They walk about 30 meters and then N (friend) said to me: Are we going to run? And I just, yes, we will die another way. So we ran in the opposite direction through the cemetery, says one of the boys in questioning.
They met a person who helped them call the police, who quickly arrived at the scene and after a short chase were able to arrest the two suspects. Both deny the crime and have repeatedly answered “No comment” in questioning.
On his clothes, the police have found blood from both boys. An analysis of their phones shows that they were at the crime scene that night. When they were arrested, they were also carrying some of the children’s belongings.
In the preliminary investigation, the fear of death that the two adolescents experienced during the night is glimpsed.
– It’s mainly fair: do what they tell you so they don’t kill you. Just stay alive and do what you want, says one of the children.
The crimes in the cemetery
The crimes were committed on the night of August 23 of this year.
Two men, ages 18 and 21, are charged with:
– aggravated robbery
Kidnapping
– extremely serious assault
– aggravated rape
– abuse of judicial procedure
The trial begins on November 30 in the Solna District Court.
The main hearing will be held behind closed doors.
