It was at Friday’s meeting with Bollnäs that the nasty injury occurred.
He himself first thought that it was not so bad. Then the 27-year-old felt how bloody he was with the glove.
– Then it started to hurt brutally. Then my right leg started to go numb and then thoughts arose that I would never be able to walk again. You always think the worst and there were a lot of horrible thoughts running through my head when I was lying down and I couldn’t move, Allehanda tells Skaraborgs.
Pherson was taken to the hospital and operated overnight until Saturday.
– Right now I’m happy to go, he tells the newspaper.
“Next time could be even worse”
At lunchtime Sunday, Felix Pherson was allowed to go home. In a few days he will put the wound back, and then hopefully remove the stitches.
Now he does not know what the future will be like on the ice. And he is critical of the edges that caused the injury, and against which teammate Johan Löfstedt broke his ribs last year.
– Now both I and “Löken” (Johan Löfstedt) have received serious injuries with these edges that are brutally dangerous. Maybe it’s time to look at them and see if you can do something. Next time, things could get worse.
