It was 8:20 on Saturday that SOS Alarm received several calls about a fire in a village in Säve.
– At the moment, I have up to five rescue service units and three ambulances at the scene, but I have not received any reports from there, says Lucas Hettman.
The rescue service confirms that a village is on fire and that extinction work is underway.
The police are also on the scene.
– There should be a big fire in some kind of townhouse or villa with several smaller apartments. We just arrived at the scene and I have no information on the damage situation, says Fredrik Svedemyr, press spokesman for the police in the West Region, shortly after eight.
Do you know if someone is or has been in the house?
– We have no such information at this time.
Police write on their website that the building probably cannot be salvaged, according to information from the patrol.
At nine o’clock there is still a fire at the site, according to the rescue service. According to the forecast, the extinction work will continue for several more hours.
