The Kristianstad District Court announced today that the 21-year-old childhood friend is guilty of murdering 20-year-old Emilia Lundberg. Now he will undergo a forensic psychiatric examination. After that, the court must decide whether the man can be sentenced to prison or not.
Although the case is based on a number of clues, the court has determined that the evidence is sufficient. In the decision on the issuance of debt, it is written “There is convincing evidence that XX, according to the prosecutor,
has deprived Emilia Lundberg of her life and then committed an illegal act. “
The district court ruled that the 21-year-old should remain in custody, but avoided the restrictions.
The man has always denied the murder charge. He claims memory loss due to drug use.
On Thursday, the 21-year-old’s lawyer, Melka Kjellberg, said he will appeal if convicted.
