“I have my contacts …”

Robin Borg has entered the broker industry.
And two Leksand players were already missing.
– It feels exciting, he tells Sportbladet.
Robin Borg, 35, in addition to his tennis background, also has a keen interest in hockey. But for many, it came as a surprise when their nun recently appeared on the Sico website and the list of licensed hockey agents.
But that is correct.
Björn Borg’s son has become a hockey agent.
– This is how it is. I have been thinking about this for a few years now and have felt that it has been interesting as I have a great passion for the sport. Now all the pieces fit together, I was able to attend training at Sico and now I have started my own company, he tells Sportbladet.
The company, which is called “Core Sports”, has already attracted two established players, who happen to both play at Leksand.
These are Patrik Zackrisson, 33, and Jonas Ahnelöv, 32.

Jonas Ahnelöv from Leksand and Patrik Zackrisson, the team captain, are linked to Robin Borg’s company of agents.
How did you get them to your stable?
– I have my connections in hockey and I submitted contracts that they thought were good, says Borg.
Keep up to date with KFF
Previously, he was head of the Fair Play TK tennis academy and was club director of the IS Göta tennis section in Helsingborgsföreningen.
Last year, he was also relevant to his job as a club manager at the Swedish Kalmar FF football stadium.
– I have experience in both sports and business, he says.
What do you think will make you a good hockey agent?
– I offer the complete package. It covers everything from diet to mind training to financial aid through various associations. An important thing is to work already during the active career with what should happen later. Many elite athletes have gone tough after their careers, says Borg.
It can be more sport
Initially, there will be a full focus on hockey.
– But we also watch other sports and discussions are already taking place, so it feels great.
Is it relevant to help my brother (Leo, who is fully committed to his tennis and was recently admitted to Rafael Nadal’s academy in Mallorca)?
– Hehe, he already has an agent. And we probably won’t play tennis. At least not as it seems now, says Robin Borg.
