A man in his 25s was shot several times on Thursday night in Malmö.
He has life-threatening injuries and has undergone surgery in the hospital.
The police have detained more than ten people in different places overnight.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., the police and an ambulance were alerted in a courtyard in the Holma housing estate.
– There we met a man wounded by a gunshot. He has been taken to hospital by ambulance and is being treated for life-threatening injuries, said Richard Lundqvist, a press spokesman for the Southern Police Region.
The man was shot several times. Police classify the incident as an alleged attempted murder and have started knocking on doors in the area.
– We’ve heard quite a bit on the ground, says Tommy Bengtsson, police officer on duty overnight.

An intense police operation began and the police had arrested more than ten people in a few hours.
– There are two people who have been detained and taken for questioning. They have hosted from different places.
The man who was shot was still in danger of death during the morning and has undergone surgery at the hospital.
