In his Nytorget apartment, the man filmed rapes against sleeping or unconscious women, according to the prosecutor.
There are up to ten plaintiffs that the police do not know who they are.
– We are very eager to get in touch with them, says courtroom prosecutor Helena Nordstrand.
The extensive rape investigation began when police searched the suspect’s mobile phone. According to the prosecutor, the man, who is in his 30s, was a suspect in some kind of drug-related crime.
– When he emptied the phone, he found these films, says Helena Nordstrand, prosecutor of the Södertörn prosecutor’s room.
Suspect of 13 sex crimes
The man is suspected of filming when he committed rape and sexual abuse.
– From the films it is clear that some of these women are asleep or unconscious for some reason. They don’t react to what this man does to them, says chamber attorney Helena Nordstrand.
On November 13, the man was arrested, with probable cause on suspicion of three counts of rape.
Today, one case of aggravated rape, seven cases of rape and two cases of sexual assault were added to the list of crimes for which the man is suspected. Tomorrow morning there will be a new arrest hearing.
I got in touch through acquaintances
Many of the women who have been victims of sexual crimes do not know who the police and prosecutors are.
– Based on these films, I would say that there are eight or nine applicants who are unknown to us and four or five who are known, says Helena Nordstrand.
The man moved to bars around Medborgarplatsen and is said to have mainly met his victims in the pub.
– Plaintiffs who are known have come into contact through mutual acquaintances to a large extent, says chamber attorney Helena Nordstrand.
“It can be uncomfortable hearing from him”
The police and prosecutors need clues and therefore are out to report the case. It has also been decided to share a photo of the man’s apartment, at Nytorget in Södermalm in Stockholm.

The crimes must have also been committed north of Stockholm and in the southern part, according to district court documents.
Anyone who believes they have been exposed, or has other information to provide, should contact the investigators by calling the police contact center at 114 14.
– I want to emphasize that you have the right to a lawyer for the plaintiff, your own lawyer to support you and help you in the process. It can be very difficult to hear from you, you may have woken up with no memory of what happened during the night. But we will meet everyone in a pleasant and professional way, and we are very much looking forward to contacting them, says Helena Nordstrand, prosecutor in the Södertörn prosecutor’s chamber.
Aftonbladet has spoken with the suspect’s attorney, who has no comment to leave at this time.
